Just came into the shop and picked up a Mojave Grom for myself. My wife gave me the go ahead. lol. Next month I hope to grab the Typhon Grom. Btw if you have the ability to go their shop… do it. Great stuff and not pushy at all.

Also look into the TSM/gyro sensitivity. TSM has the potential to dampen the drift. Maybe a necessity to adjust to suit the driver.

This is so true. I am so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I am new to RC and my first RC was an X-Maxx. I wanted something different. I really like the Maxx Slash. I knew it wasn’t a basher. I actually really like the Maxx Slash. Again, so glad I didn’t listen to all the negative reviews.

Kevin Talbot… beat the living shit out of this car…” Stock” and couldn’t break it… it doesn’t really need up grades…. Other than the max from traxxas I haven’t seen a car as durable…. That max too is “ stock”…. I beat mine constantly it only broke one time… it was used by a friend and he hit a telephone pole at full throttle… it broke off a wheel and a a- arm… that’s it… but the MT 10 is even tougher….ive seen this car in action… I also seen an e revo 2.0 in action… air control… e revo is better… but this and the original max are neck and neck

Sadly SMC does not have those lipos available no more. As I understand they are bringing another change to their lineup. That is somethin that annoys me a little, that they are not very consistent when it come to their lineup, and they take out of the market the ones they have until they get the new ones, and that can be an over a month wait. I love SMC, but their logistics when it comes to inventory is really poor

They're moving into different genres to sell more units. The drifting crowd's standards are extremely high, I have seen drift cars approach the 2K mark in investments, so this is a steep climb for Traxxas.

Mine works well on my smoothie black top. Mind u my black top is smooth. Do u suggest the 12t and pinion change?

For asphalt, in addition to tires, do you think just changing the gearing will help or is it better to the the Titan 12T and gearing?

This reminds me when I first got into drifting with a TT01, and had to learn fast about surface grip and tyre compounds. It wasn't until I took my car to the local drift club that had a polished cement circuit, and tried some different MST drift compounds before the car really lifted. The only issue here with the 4TEC is the motor layout. Like the TT01 the hotter the motor, you're going to start dealing with some torque steer at some point. If Traxxas update the design to get more than 60 degrees steering angle, this thing will really come alive.

Just got 1 on Amazon $369. I have a NB4+ so it's getting a Flysky Rx & AFGRC Magnetic 32kg Servo. I can get the stock motor & esc for half the price of the HW but this was same HW combo I was thinking about getting.

Traxxas really should lower the price too 569.99$ through chrsitmas because kids might want it and parents dont want to spend a thousand dollars on a rc car. Also i have a question. Is their a end date to when the traxxas free batterys and charger savings think end for the traxxas maxx slash becuass i dont want to spend 240$ on a charger and 2 6s lipos

Nice RC. I would go electric myself, you would get way more torque, speed and power from a 70120 680KV motor.

I never used dual rate stuff back in the 80’s and we all did fine. Maybe we were able to drive back then without all the gyro stuff and radios that do the work for ya

I just bought a maxx v2. Does the fan on the motor run the whole time or only when needed? I noticed I didn't see the fan running. But I didn't do wide open throttle at all for my first run

Awesome man! When you say that the car handles better than arrma and traxxas in the air. I guess thats with the upgraded esc and motor and not stock? Do you think this handles better than a granite? Do you have any alternative ti the esc and motor? Cant get it here :/

As far as packs.. the 5200 - 5500 100c from Gens ace should be able to compete against the 2 packs you recommended. I use them on my Traxxas Mudboss. The local track is also considering using the Gensace 7600 due the amp draw. (not approved yet) I love the out-of-the-box spec for this. Evens out the racing field for newbies like me. I see more and more racers jumping in this class.

I like to learn things as opposed to watching videos of people bashing or just plain talking, and that is what you provide. I live towards Collegeville PA and for the past 2 years, had been travelling to south jersey to a shop located there. That said, I am looking for a new shop and in the near future, will start frequenting your establishment for my rc related purchase needs. I’m new to the hobby. My first rig is a Mojave 4s. I recently shared a playground with a Maxx Slash. We bashed around, raced and jumped about 12ft high. I even let him run the Mojave and he couldn’t believe how much better it was at speed stability and air gliding for the price. Both factory setup. He def still enjoys his Maxx Slash, but admitted that if he could return it and get a Mojave(in this case), he would. Price/value point seems like quite the margin between these 2 based on my very small experience. Honestly, if stuff performs within its price point, the money ain’t the issue. But then you find out a cheaper rig does better out of the box. That sorta stings. Love this kind of talk, though. Your channel just popped up on my feed. Very cool.

Corally is SUCH a good fucking brand. From what I’ve heard, they’re the “Small Guy” in the hobby. I hope so many people support them. They actually did the center brace right before Arrma did. I’d never support Traxxas’ litigations. So, it’s nice to have a company w/o all the politics to throw money at. I mean.. I support anything Horizon too but Corally deserves so much recognition I believe the electronics are HW. So, MAJOR plus for not being Castle Cremations
